GTavern - alexandria, VA
For a dining experience that extends all the way back to our Founding Fathers, there is Gadsby's Tavern in Alexandria, Virginia. It is said to have been one of George Washington's favorite restaurants and also counts John Adams, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe among its presidential visitors. Today, the restaurant retains its colonial charm and serves classic American cuisine, including "George Washington's Favorite," which is a plate of grilled duck breast, scalloped potatoes and corn pudding.
