City Tavern Restaurant - Philadelphia, PA

The employees at City Tavern still don traditional period costumes to stick to its 18th-century theme and even serve authentic recipes from the era. It used to be a favorite gathering place for many of the Founding Fathers, including John Adams and George Washington. Today, the restaurant is run by Chef Walter Staib, a TV show host and internationally renowned chef, and it holds a spot on the list of Philadelphia's Top 10 restaurants on TripAdvisor. If you go, you have to try some colonial dishes, including West Indies pepperpot, turkey pot pie, roasted duckling and braised rabbit.
