Canada - Pate Chinoise (Quebec Shepherd's Pie)

Besides poutine, French Canadians have a taste for plenty of other rich and hearty dishes, including pâté chinoise. There's nothing Chinese about this dish, except that it was created by Chinese railroad workers in Quebec in the late 19th century.
