Chuan - China

Chuan or chuan'r are simply roasted meat skewers, traditionally made using lamb. Now you can find variations of it all over China with chicken, pork, beef, seafood and insects, and sometimes they are even deep-fried. Usually, you can ask for it to be spiced to your liking, though it often comes seasoned with cumin seeds, salt, pepper, dried red pepper flakes and sesame oil.
