Put Leftovers in Shallow Containers

Though it may be tempting to put everything in as few containers as possible, in order for your leftovers to cool off to a safe temperature quickly, you should use shallow containers. Doing so also makes it easier to find room in the refrigerator, and when it comes to warming up some turkey, mashed potatoes, or other favorites, you'll be able to grab the right portions effortlessly.
