Acorn Squash
Acorn squash are smaller than many other squashes, and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, but stuffing them is definitely amongst the most popular. Cut your cooking time down immensely by preparing acorn squash in the microwave. First, wash and dry the squash, then cut it in half—either horizontally or lengthwise, depending on whether or not you plan to stuff it. Put the squash cut side down on a microwave-safe dish and heat it on high for about 12 minutes. When it's fork-tender, the acorn squash is ready to eat!
