Milky Way

This chocolate-malt nougat bar with caramel and milk chocolate was created in 1923 by Frank C. Mars. Milky Way got its name and flavor from a famous malted milk drink at that time that was named after Earth's galaxy. The chocolate coating was supplied by Hershey's, and in 1926, it came out in two flavors: one with chocolate nougat and milk chocolate coating, the other with vanilla nougat and dark chocolate coating. The vanilla nougat one was originally called "Forever Yours" and is known today as "Milky Way Midnight." Now popular around the world and still produced by Mars, Incorporated, the chocolate bar's packaging, composition and size varies slightly.
