Jolly RAnchers

Founded in 1949 by Bill Harmsen of the Jolly Rancher Company, these hard, fruit-flavored candies were first sold in Denver, Colorado. He chose the name due to its  friendly and welcoming nature for potential customers. The original flavors were grape, apple, Fire Stix and watermelon, with more flavors being added later. Jolly Ranchers are made from a special process that leaves them particularly hard and rigid with a glossy appearance. Currently owned by The Hershey Company, they're still a popular candy year-round but especially convenient for trick-or-treat bags!
