Starburst

Starburst fruit-flavored chews were originally introduced in the UK in 1960 under the name "Opal Fruits," the winning name in a competition. They came to the US in 1967 as "M&M's Fruit Chewies" but quickly changed to the name "Starburst." The original flavors were strawberry, lemon, orange and lime (later changed to cherry). Today you can find Starburst candies in the classic flavors and countless other flavor variants, including Tropical, Strawberry Mix, Berries & Creme, etc.
