Onions

In order to keep your onions from sprouting or getting moldy, you should always store them in a dry, cool, and dark place. Store them in the open, rather than in bags, to avoid locking in any moisture. You should also pay attention to the variety of onions: red onions will spoil more quickly and can be stored in the fridge. White onions will last few weeks, and brown onions can even last up to six months.
