Skip the Free Bread

Though it may seem like a no-brainer, we've all been conditioned to mindlessly eat the free bread restaurants put on our tables while we wait. While you know this intellectually, the heart wants what the heart wants. Stay strong and resist. If you're dining alone, simply ask your server not to bring any bread. If you're a duo, ask your dining partner if they'd be OK with no bread at the table, but if there's more of you, you should just politely decline your share when the basket makes its way to you.
