Barilla's passive cooking campaign

In light of soaring energy prices, Barilla recently launched a publicity campaign around a new open-source product: a passive cooker device developed to help home cooks carry out the cooking technique correctly. Essentially, it's designed to tell you when the water is boiling so you can add the pasta, when to turn off the heat, and when your pasta is ready.

Of course, you don't need to buy Barilla pasta to try out passive cooking, any type of pasta will do, though you might have to experiment with the cooking times to see what works best. So what do you think? Yay or nay?
