Vada Pav - India

Vada Pav is a popular Indian street food originating from the western state of Maharashtra. It's a deep-fried potato patty served on a special type of bread bun called pav, which is often toasted for extra flavor. The potato patty is spiced with a combination of garlic, chili, mustard seeds and other spices and is usually served with a tangy tamarind chutney, fried chillies and a spicy garlic chutney. Both filling and flavorful, vada pav can be served as a quick snack or a meal.

Where to eat: For a vada pav experience that won't let you down, head to the iconic Aram Vada Pav in Mumbai, one of the city's oldest restaurants known for its generous portion sizes and consistent quality.
