Creme Anglaise is a type of dessert cream or egg custard that's thin enough to be poured on your favorite dessert. To make it from scratch, all it takes is heating some milk and a vanilla pod in the microwave for 1 minute. While you're waiting, mix some egg yolks with sugar in a separate bowl. When the milk is hot, pour it onto the egg mixture and whisk. Put back in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. Take it out half way to stir once and then it's done! Pour over ice cream or molten chocolate lava cake for a supremely satisfying dessert.
