The Secret to a Perfectly Frozen Pizza

Real good pizzas are baked in stone ovens that can reach over 450°F, that's why they bake so quickly and have deliciously crispy crusts while leaving the base soft. Yum!

A home oven will never get that hot, but there is a trick that achieves the nearest thing. Cook the pizza directly on the oven base, so that it's much closer to the source of heat - preferably on a pizza stone or cast iron skillet. If you have either, heat them in the oven first and then insert the pizza once the oven reaches its maximum temperature.

For a crispier pizza, brush the crust with a little olive oil before baking, and sprinkle with fresh garlic or garlic powder (the garlic flavor helps balance out the heavy, overly sweet sauce that frozen foods are normally based with). Allow the pizza to bake for 5-8 mins. while keeping an eye on it, the length of time it takes to bake depends on the quality of your oven - you don't want it to go from beautifully baked to burned within a few seconds, so watch out.
