No one is saying that dining out with kids is easy, and there will almost inevitably be an embarrassing moment for parents at some point when they bring their kids to restaurants at a young age. That being said, there are some things that aren't acceptable if you let them go unchecked. One server mentioned her pet peeve when parents "let their kids put table items in their mouth (salt, pepper, etc)." Those items are going to be used by future diners, and it's not only unhygienic but also just poor manners.
