Grilled Camembert Cheese

Delicious summer recipes don’t need to be complicated. This simple yet oh-so-satisfying grilled camembert cheese recipe is the perfect appetizer for sharing. Serve it with slices of a fresh baguette for an easy start to your celebration!

Ingredients (serves 4-6 people):

  • 1 round of Camembert cheese (about 8 oz)
  • 1 French baguette, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or parsley), for garnish
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Remove the Camembert cheese from its packaging and place it on a piece of aluminum foil.
  3. Score the top of the cheese with a knife in a crosshatch pattern.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the cheese and season with a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Place the foil-wrapped Camembert cheese directly on the grill grates.
  6. Close the lid of the grill and cook for 8-10 min. or until the cheese is soft and gooey, and slightly golden brown on top.
  7. While the cheese is grilling, brush the sliced baguette with olive oil on both sides.
  8. Place the baguette slices directly on the grill grates and grill for 1-2 min. per side, or until they are toasted and have grill marks.
  9. Carefully remove the cheese from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter. Garnish the top of the cheese with fresh herbs, if desired.
  10. Arrange the grilled baguette slices around the cheese on the platter.
  11. Serve immediately, allowing guests to enjoy the cheese while it's warm. Enjoy!
