Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

Nothing screams summer quite like warm chicken wings fresh off of the grill. These citrusy wings are a perfect combination of zesty lemon and spicy black pepper, making them a flavorful and irresistible snack. Marinated to perfection and grilled until crispy, these wings are ideal for any gathering or casual meal. The fresh lemon juice added after grilling enhances the summery flavor, while the parsley adds a fresh touch. Ingredients (for 12 wings):

  • 12 bone-in chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 min., preferably 2-3 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for about 20-25 min., turning occasionally, until the wings are golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
