This recipe is the easiest and one of the best ways to eat sardines. Tartines are basically the French version of open-faced sandwiches, but you could call it toast as well. Take a slice of fresh sourdough bread, slap a pad of butter on it, and top with a drained sardine. You can't get much simpler than that, and it makes an excellent snack!
