This exotic crowd-pleaser comes from Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City). Take half of a fresh, crusty Vietnamese baguette (part rice flour, part regular) and cut it open lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through. Garnish with pickled carrots, fresh cucumbers, your meat of preference (roasted pork belly, grilled pork, Vietnamese sausage, minced pork meatballs, etc.) and a handful of cilantro for that exotic finishing touch.
