Apple clafoutis

Usually, when we hear clafoutis, we think cherry clafoutis, but apple clafoutis is an equally yummy alternative, light and indulgent all at once. Dice apples, and cook in a skillet with butter and sugar. Let soften into a compote for 10 minutes. Beat eggs in a mixing bowl, and add sugar, melted butter, flour and milk. Butter a springform pan, and pour in the apples. Top with the clafoutis preparation, and bake for 50 to 55 minutes at 350 °F.
