Apple brioche

For this pull-apart brioche, pour flour, sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt into your food processor. Add warmed milk and butter, and mix. Add egg and flour, and knead for 5 minutes. Let rise for at least 2 hours in a warm place. Spread the dough on a clean workspace to make a rectangle 20 inches long and 12 inches wide. Brush with a mixture of softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add apples cut into strips and fold over the brioche. Cut into 2-inch long strips, then cut lengthwise along them to make 2 inch x 2 inch squares. Place the squares into a loaf pan standing up. Let rise for 30 minutes, then bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 °F.
