Ice cream

You might not believe in proper ice cream etiquette, but nonetheless here are a few tips when serving to impress. Serve ice cream slightly softened. This will give it that unctuous, melt-in-your-mouth texture, not to mention it's easier to scoop out of the container. You can even microwave it for a few seconds, if it's too cold. Choose a colorful fruit coulis or other syrup to drizzle on top, and add nuts, chocolate shavings, sprinkles, etc. For extra presentation points, serve the ice cream in decorative glass dishes with or without a stem and a small spoon.
