Fresh Herbs

When recipes call for a couple of teaspoons of herbs, but they are only sold in huge bunches at the supermarkets, it's little wonder so much goes to waste. The best way to reduce your herb wastage is to grow your own herbs at home, but if that isn't possible, there are still ways to save your herbs (and money). Chop up and freeze your herbs in an ice-cube tray with olive oil, for a convenient and flavorful addition to your dishes. You can also try drying them out, which works especially well with woody herbs like sage and thyme.
