Bread

If you have a small household or just don't each a lot of bread, you might find that you throw out nearly entire loaves every week. The shelf life of bread depends on the variety that you buy. In general, white bread tends to spoil faster than whole-grain loaves.

Bread is best kept at room temperature, with the exception of hot and humid weather when it is better off in the refrigerator to prevent mold. To keep the dry air of your fridge from making your bread go stale, pack it into a well-sealed Tupperware.

If you know that you won't be eating your bread for a few days, stick in the freezer. You can always thaw the portion that you want when you're ready to eat it, and no crumb will be wasted.
