Italy

In Italy, aperitivo is the highlight of the day.  A glass of wine or cocktails like the Spritz or Negroni are served with many different antipasti to munch on. Cheese, ham, olives, savory pastries and especially bruschetta are very popular. Bruschetta are also very easy to make at home; all it takes are some slices of grilled bread  topped with tomatoes, eggplants, ham or cheese. Bake for 10 minutes and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil before serving.
