2005: Bourdain premiers "No Reservations" on The Travel Channel

Following A Cook's Tour short but sweet run, Bourdain expanded his horizons and debuted Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on the Travel Channel in 2005. The series, which featured one-hour episodes on food and cultures around the world, had a successful seven-year run. It garnered one Emmy award nomination in 2007 for an episode filmed in Beirut, Lebanon; Bourdain and his crew were filming when the Israel-Lebanon conflict broke out and had to be evacuated with other American citizens. Once the series was finished, The Travel Channel booked Bourdain for another series The Layover, which focused around enjoying cities during a 1-2 day layover.
