Cook it right

To ensure your pasta is perfectly cooked, add lots of salt (way more than you think, trust us), bring the water to a rolling boil before adding the pasta, and whatever you do, don’t add oil!
If you are baking your mac and cheese in the oven after cooking the pasta, let it get to al dente only—as it will continue to cook in the oven afterward.
