Here Are Some Beginner EXERCISES To Ease Into It
When you decided to start working out again, your body needs to ease into it. So in order to "awaken" your body, little by little, start with gentle, slow-paced exercises, and increase the intensity as you grow stronger. Here are a few ideas to start:
These exercises are to be carried out in order with 2 minutes of recovery between each one. Repeat the series 3 times.
Lie on your left side, with your head resting on your bent arm, and bend your knees. Keeping your feet firmly together, flex your right knee upward, then lower it slowly. Repeat the exercise 10 times. Take a breather for 2 minutes, and switch sides. Rest again, then move onto the next exercise.
Stretch out on your back with your arms by your sides, and keep your knees bent and feet on the ground. Raise your head slowly and lean forward into a sit-up, reaching your arms and fingers in front of you. Repeat 15 times, then rest. Move on to the next exercise.
Lying on your back, with your knees bent and your feet on the ground, stretch your arms down alongside your body, keeping your hands firmly on the ground. Raise your hips and bottom while keeping your head on the ground, and hold the position for 5 seconds before going down. Make sure you squeeze when lifting up and release when going back down. Repeat 15 times. Then start the series over.
