Mei Mei - Boston, Massachusetts

In 2012, three Chinese-American siblings launched a food truck using only locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. It was the first of its kind in Boston, and today Mei Mei is one of the city's most popular contemporary Chinese eateries, still using humanely slaughtered pasture-raised meats and produce from local farms. Don't expect to find kung pao chicken at this all-day, casual, counter-service restaurant. They're known for putting creative twists on Chinese classics, including their famous dumplings and "Double Awesome" scallion pancakes, stuffed with fried eggs, cheddar and local greens pesto (bacon/ham optional).
