Don't cut up your asparagus if want to have beanstalks on your focaccia bread art. You could place it on the bread raw, but a quick sauté in olive oil and garlic would give it more flavor. Use it as the stems of a flower bouquet or to build structures on your focaccia, such as houses or other objects requiring straight lines.
