When Not to Cook with Beer

Cooking and baking with beer can add richness and extra flavor to many dishes. Even if you're not a fan of beer, you won't usually taste it straight up when used in your food—this is especially true for recipes that heat it to the boiling point. That being said, if you're cooking for people who don't drink or for kids, you should probably leave the booze out (even if Dad's a fan). Trace amounts are basically harmless, but anything more than that can leave a certain amount of residual alcohol.

If that's not the case, then what are you waiting for? Grab a beer and get started, we're sure Dad will be impressed!
