Baby Ruth

Baby Ruth, an American candy bar, was created by Curtiss Candy Company in 1920, as a "remodeled" version of its Kandy Kake. In 1921, it was renamed to "Baby Ruth," though the company claims it wasn't named after famous baseball player Babe Ruth but instead after former US President Grover Cleveland's daughter, popularly referred to as "Baby Ruth". This was 17 years after Ruth had died from diptheria and 24 years after Cleveland's presidency had ended... Today, the candy bar is frequently associated with the baseball player and the sport in general, after Nestlé acquired the rights to use Ruth's name and likeness for its marketing campaigns. Whatever the truth is, Americans still love the candy's combo of  milk chocolate, peanut, caramel and nougat.
