Graw S's turkey chili casseroles

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 bullion cubes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • phyllo pastry sheets
  • shredded mozzarella and parmesian cheese (1/4 to 1/2 cup)

Preparation

Step 1

Saute pepper, onion and celery in vegetable oil until soft.

Step 2

Add meat and brown.

Step 3

Add then bullion cubes, water, tomato sauce, chili powder and oregano and simmer.

Step 4

Line 2 small casseroles with 4 sheets of phyllo. Spoon in chili and top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

Step 5

Top with 2 more sheets of pastry and bake at 375 degrees till the top is lightly browned. About 15 minutes.
