1. PROTEIN

Tons of studies have shown that protein consumption increases the production of ghrelin, or "the hunger hormone". That means that eating it will give you the sensation of satiety and make you feel full and satisfied longer. A hard-boiled egg in the morning, for example, is a great way to start the day.

 

2. SAVORY OVER SWEET

Especially in the morning hours, it's best to avoid muffins, pies, cookies, and other overly sugary foods, which cause sudden glycemic peaks.

 

3. A BIT OF FAT IS OKAY

You heard us right! As you may already know, breakfast is the only time of the day that you can get by with eating fats (in moderation) without too much guilt. You have all day to burn it off.

  • 2 chicken breasts
