This Personal Trainer Showed Off Her Unflattering "Butt Dimples" In This Untouched Photo
She confessed her first instinct was to instantly press DELETE! Then she had another idea...
Madalin Giorgetta, an Australian fitness model and personal trainer, has more than 400k followers on Instagram. She posts motivating advice, helpful tips, and a whole lot of inspiring selfies on her account.
By doing so, she encourages young women all over the world to meet their fitness goals.
Although she is an inspiration to so many and has worked hard to achieve what some might call physical "perfection", that doesn't mean she's perfect. And it certainly doesn't mean she's free of the real, human insecurities that we all face too.
Recently, she shared this picture of herself sitting poolside. She confessed, when she first saw it, that she immediately wanted it deleted and gone from the world!
She explained that when her sister, the photographer of this picture, first showed it to her, her reaction was, "Eww gross delete delete"!
However, she forgot to delete the post from her computer. When she was later asked to submit some of her best pictures to a magazine for an interview, she did what to some social media stars would be unthinkable:
She decided this casual, all-natural picture made the cut!
On an impulse, she bravely sent off the photo...and the editors loved it. The picture went straight to print, photoshop free!
"Now that I see it in print, I'm extremely proud and so happy I made the decision to publish a photo of myself that shows me for me," Madalin said.
"No editing, no booty pose, just me, a giant coconut and my goofy grin."
In a world that revolves around Instagram perfection, this is just the reminder we all need: beauty isn't photoshop, filters, or perfect poses. It's in loving and appreciating ourselves for ourselves!
Way to go, Madalin!
