Egypt - Ful Medames

Here's another hearty, savory breakfast dish, this time originating in Egypt, where it remains a staple food today. Made of slowly stewed fava beans flavored with cumin and olive oil, it's a satisfying meal that's traditionally prepared in and served out of a large metal jug. Other garnishes may include chopped parsley, garlic, lemon juice, pickled vegetables or chili pepper for a kick. It's delicious served with warm fluffy pita bread on the side.
