Doner Kebab (Turkey)
Although popular as a late-night snack in many European countries, this Turkish sandwich is more than just your typical greasy indulgence. While it is considered fast food, the meat used to make doner kebabs is actually roasted on an inverted rotisserie next to a vertical cooking device. It then gets shaved off in thin slices and stuffed into toasted pita bread or flatbreads with various accompaniments, such as veggies, lettuce, and condiments.
