Sujeonggwa - Korea

Although this traditional Korean cinnamon punch is meant to be served cold, it is generally considered a winter drink due to its anti-microbial properties and ability to help fight off viral illness. Sujeonggwa is likewise popular for dessert, bearing a sweet flavor made from dried persimmons, fresh ginger, cinnamon sticks and sugar. It also comes garnished with pine nuts for extra flavor and texture. Great for digestion, it's the perfect drink to sip on after a comforting, hearty winter meal.
