Popcorn - Pop it plain or be selective about store-bought brands

Popcorn can be a healthy snack if you choose wisely. The best option is to buy plain popcorn kernels and pop them on the stovetop, but nowadays you can find a decent selection of store-bought popcorn that is healthy and relatively low in calories. If you go with store-bought, check the labels and avoid the kinds with palm oil, high quantities of sodium, fake butter or other artificial flavors. You can even pick one with no salt or oil added and sprinkle it with nutritional yeast for a naturally cheesy flavor.
