How Do You Correctly Defrost Food?

The best way of thawing food is to put it in the refrigerator, as the cooler temperature will begin to defrost it. However, this is a time-consuming process, and if you're looking for a faster life hack, it's best to place your frozen food in cold water - never hot water. Exposure to cold water will gradually defrost it.

If you do it in the microwave, make sure to use the 'Defrost' mode. Alternatively, put your microwave on medium power as this will avoid cooking the outside of the food while leaving the inside frozen!
