Spinach Artichoke Dip

This classic tailgating snack is rich, savory, and cheesy with a delightful mix of spinach and artichokes. Perfect for dipping with chips or bread, this dip serves about 8 people and is sure to be a hit at any pre-game gathering!

Ingredients (for 6-8 servings):

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips, baguette slices, or crackers for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Bake for 25-30 min. or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Water

 Filling:

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

 Method

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and water in a pan, and mix until you form a dough.
  2. In a saucepan, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onion. Cook on medium-high until onion has softened.  
  3. Add the ground beef, and add the salt, water, and tomato sauce. When the meat has browned, remove from heat. 
  4. Dust a flat surface with flour, and roll out the dough into a flat sheet. 
  5. Use a ramekin or cup to cut out circles. 
  6. Add a dollop of beef-tomato mixture to the center of each circle. 
  7. Pinch the dough into a little pocket.
  8. Bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.
