French Onion Dip

This creamy, savory dip takes the classic chip-and-dip experience to the next level. Made with deeply caramelized onions, sour cream, and a touch of seasoning, it's the perfect balance of rich, sweet, and tangy flavors. Serve it with crispy potato chips or fresh veggies for an irresistible game-day snack. Try making it ahead of time! This dip tastes even better after a few hours in the fridge.

Ingredients (for 8-10 servings):

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives (plus extra for garnish)

  2. Stir in salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chives. Stir in the cooled caramelized onions.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  5. Garnish with extra chives and serve with potato chips or fresh veggies.
