Spicy Jalapeno Popper Dip

Get all the flavors of your favorite jalapeño poppers in a creamy, cheesy dip! This game-day favorite is packed with smoky bacon, spicy jalapeños, and a golden, crispy topping. Perfect for scooping with chips, crackers, or veggies, it's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Try swapping the bacon for crispy pancetta for a gourmet twist.

Ingredients (for 8-10 servings):

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, Monterey Jack, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in diced jalapeños and crumbled bacon (reserve some for topping).
  3. Mix panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
  4. Spread the dip into the baking dish and top with the breadcrumb mixture. Bake for 20-25 min until golden and bubbly.
  5. Garnish with extra bacon crumbles and sliced jalapeños. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Water

 Filling:

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

 Method

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and water in a pan, and mix until you form a dough.
  2. In a saucepan, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onion. Cook on medium-high until onion has softened.  
  3. Add the ground beef, and add the salt, water, and tomato sauce. When the meat has browned, remove from heat. 
  4. Dust a flat surface with flour, and roll out the dough into a flat sheet. 
  5. Use a ramekin or cup to cut out circles. 
  6. Add a dollop of beef-tomato mixture to the center of each circle. 
  7. Pinch the dough into a little pocket.
  8. Bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!
