Here's a basic corn dog recipe to give you back a taste of your youth. You could go the lazy route and buy them ready-made, but they're so much better when cooked from scratch. Combine 1/2 cup flour with 1/3 cup cornflour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, a dash of pepper, 1 egg and 1 tablespoon milk. Stir well to combine, then let sit for 10 minutes. Pierce the end of your hot dogs with a wooden stick or skewer, then soak them in the flour mixture and fry each one up for 4 minutes in extremely hot oil. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce on the side. Find out how to make homemade condiments here.
