Ohhhhh ketchup...how we love thee! There are those who love ketchup, and those who absolutely hate it.

But homemade ketchup is a different story. It’s so delicious that it will convert even the most avid ketchup-haters.

So how do you go about making it?

For a quick version, take tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Add it to a cocktail shaker and place in the fridge for a couple of hours.

For the classic version: take ripe, fresh tomatoes, simmer slowly and add your flavors of choice (garlic, onion, bay leaf, thyme etc.). Then add the vinegar and sugar and continue to simmer for at least 2 hours.
