Scones - United Kingdom

Scones are the quintessential English pastry, best served with a steaming cup of tea. They're usually small and round or slightly wedge-shaped with a subtly sweet taste. Oftentimes, they're also bulked up with small dried fruits, chocolate chips or other sugary additions. Perfect for slathering with jam and butter, they're typically a breakfast treat or served at tea time of course.
