The Wreck Of The Richard And The Charlene - Mount Pleasant, SC
Commonly referred to as "The Wreck," this South Carolina seafood shack's unique name comes from the fate of a commercial fishing vessel known as a trawler that was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989. Apart from the restaurant's view of Mount Pleasant's Shem Creek, it's all bare bones with paper plates and plastic cups. But you're not there for anything besides the fantastic "low-country" style fried oysters, fish, scallops, stone crab and other freshly prepared dishes.
