The 10 things you must do before having friends over for dinner

Keep it simple

Cooking for 10 is not the same thing as cooking for 2. So when you're selecting what dishes you want to serve, make sure to avoid overly labor-intensive choices. Mashed potatoes are a great side, but think about how many potatoes you're going to have to peel! The same goes for peeling shrimp and other vegetables, deboning fish or shelling fresh beans. The simpler you keep your menu prep, the more relaxed you'll be.
