Sushi and sake

Sushi and sake: for a pairing that’s authentically Japanese, opt for sake with your meal. However there are many criteria to take into consideration in order for everything to be perfect. Firstly, the sake needs to be of good quality, meaning delicate and subtle. Secondly, the sushi needs to be extremely fresh and well-prepared. In other words, save this pairing for when you go to a high-standing, well-known Japanese restaurant. Even though the bill might be more than you’re used to paying, you will have experienced real Japanese culinary culture.
